Hey Diddle Diddle is a traditional English nursery rhyme that is thought to have originated in the 17th century. The rhyme is about a cow jumping over the moon, a dish running away with a spoon, and a little dog laughing to see such sport.
The rhyme is often used to teach children about rhythm and rhyme. It is also a popular song for children to sing and play.
